Chavy-Chouet Meursault 'Clos des Corvées De Citeau' 2018Regular price £57.00
From one of Burgundy's brightest young stars, this Meursault is a classic example, crafted with an elegant touch. A bright nose packed full of tropical fruit and red apple gently fades to warming vanilla and toasted hazelnuts. The palate is full, rich and creamy but with great acidity and minerality, helping carry the finish for an eternity.
Tipped as Puligny-Montrachet’s ‘domaine to watch’ in 1988’s The White Wines Of Burgundy by Burgundy expert Jasper Morris, hell-raising vigneron Hubert Chavy never delivered on his early promise. Hubert passed away in 2015 and since 2008 his son, Romaric Chavy, has been in charge of the estate, wasting no time in staking a claim as one of Burgundy’s next wine-making stars.
