The grape here is Jacquère, referred to by the locals in the Savoie as Mountain Muscadet and boy, that's exactly what we have here... Crisp, green and light with a touch of saltiness - this is wonderful.
Located in the foothills of the Alps, the Savoie represents one of the last, great undiscovered wine regions of France. The vineyards are widely dispersed, small communities, clustered together in the narrow alpine valleys. There are 29 communes located between the south shore of Lac Léman and the river Isère to the south-east of the region.
