Young Justin Dutraive has spent most of his working life alongside his famous father, Jean-Louis, who's status is as close to legendary that we can think of. Still they work together closely, sharing ideas and philosophies. This is Justin's forth vintage of making his own label wines. The apple clearly doesn't fall far from the tree. If his early work is anything to go by, Dutraive junior will quickly rise through the ranks of Beaujolais producers.
This juicy, fresh Gamay is packed full of fruit. Supercharged red fruits burst out of the glass, backed with notes of meat juices, earth and spice with a lovely floral tone, as is classic of the Fleurie cru (from where most parcels of fruit are sourced for this bottle). The wine is funky and natural and great served slightly chilled. You'll catch us sinking a few bottles of this over the summer!
