What Makes a Classic, 'Classic'? - A Christmassy Masterclass With a Master // Friday 8th December 2023 // VG Tasting Room
- In stock, ready to ship
A Christmassy masterclass with a master...
Join us on the 8th December for a masterclass on Christmas dinner table classics, and find out what exactly makes them, classic... Hosted by our friend and resident MW, Nick Adams, this is one for true fanatics. Naturally, we'll be tasting some exciting juice, from Champagne, to Amarone della Valpolicella, to Port. And what is a Christmas dinner table without great Burgundy or a classic sweet wine?! We'll be tasting through the lot, with a few surprises thrown in between, of course.
If you're not instantly familiar with Nick's post-nominals, MW stands for 'Master of Wine', indicating that Nick is one of less than 500 MW's globally. You can read more about what being an MW means, here and you can read more about Nick and his CV, here. We love working with Nick. His presenting style is fun and unfussy, and we can guarantee that you will leave a tasting having not only had a huge amount of fun, but having learnt a great deal. The perfect evening? We think so!
Paired with some snacks from our mates at Woosters Bakery (and others) and great company - this is not one to miss! Just 12 spaces available.

Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.
No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
Tickets are non-refundable.
We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
