Old World Vs New World // Wednesday 1st June 2022

Join Jake on the 1st June for a whistle stop tour across the continents as we explore some classic grape varieties from their philosophical home's, and pair them against some modern takes from the brave new world.
The new world is a great place to make wine. Often, they're not hamstrung by outdated appellation laws, meaning that vignerons can (in some cases) plant what they want, where they want. Sometimes, they absolutely nail it, whether they're looking to replicate traditional styles or not.
But with that being said, we're always suckers for traditional, classic wines. So, does Cali Pinot rival the Burgundian greats? Does Riesling from the Clare Valley come close to the Mosel? We certainly won't provide you with a definitive answer, but we'll open some cracking bottles for you and see what we find out together!
We'll have some great nibbles to snack on from our friends around the town. This is all about the wine, but there'll be something to chew on...
Wednesday 1st June 2022

Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.
No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
Cancellations require a 48 hour notice period otherwise you will be charged, unless we can resell your ticket ahead of the event.
We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible to all. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
