A soft and approachable wine with dark fruit aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant, layered with spice and a touch of black pepper. Beautifully balanced with a fresh palate and a long, fruit-driven finish.
This wine comes from a small two hectare appellation, which is revered for the intense and concentrated wines it produces. However, it is produced from Mourvèdre, a grape variety which is not allowed under the appellation law of this tiny appellation, hence its name ‘Illégal'’, thus it is labelled as ‘Vin de France’. The vineyards are located a few kilometres from Pézenas where the Mediterranean Sea asserts its influence on the vines. The estate is certified HVE3, which complements the family’s existing ‘Carbon Neutral’ approach.

You will receive an automated confirmation on ordering. It is unavoidable that wines will sometimes be out of stock, so we will always contact you to advise a delivery estimate in this case. Deliveries are normally made weekdays before 4pm. Unsuccessful deliveries will be attempted the next working day if nobody is available to accept the delivery, unless you specify a place to leave the shipment in this case. If a request is made for wine to be left unattended, Vino Gusto will not be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it. If a delivery has not arrived in the timeframe, please let us know. Although the courier should tell us if there are any breakages, please let us know of any damage within 24 hours of receipt, so we can investigate.
Please also be sure to check the number of cases for which you are signing; we cannot replace wine that has been signed for but not received.
Please note that we, regretfully, are currently unable to ship to Northern Ireland.
