Everything that Gary & Kathy Jordan (of Jordan Wines, Stellenbosch) touch, turns to gold. Or in this case, it's a shimmering, inviting copper-cum-coral hue. Wildly fragrant with hedgerow fruit aromas, an underlying fresh acidity and a dry, wild strawberry finish. There is a surprising brioche note on the finish, with a creamy, soft texture. Super delicious. This simply will not stick around...
The Medieval buildings at Mousehall contain many six-petal apotropaic marks known as hexafoils or ‘daisy wheels’, perceived as a good luck symbol to protect against evil.
Tidebrook is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex between the medieval villages of Mayfield and Wadhurst. The brook for which Tidebrook is named, rises in the valley and flows through Mousehall Country Estate, forming one of the sources of the River Rother, meeting the sea at Rye. In bygone years, the iron industry and later the hop industry were significant in this area, the latter giving rise to the distinctive Oast found on Mousehall, featuring as the logo of the Tidebrook wines.
