The Liberator 'This is The Sea' Albarino 2021 Can

This is Albariño, done right - move over Galicia... Vibrant, fresh and full of citrus and stone fruits, as is classic of the variety. The palate is a perfectly balanced tug of war stalemate between bracing acidity and ripe, opulent stone fruits (think peach, apricot). A full, firm wine with a lingering, refreshing maritime salinity just begs to be enjoyed with seafood (hence the name and illustration of this wine).

Cape Crusader, Rick, was lucky to get his hands on this spectacular parcel. An experimental block by one of the Cape’s major producers (confidential information), but with no natural home for the wine, it was destined to be blended away into a large tank of Sauvignon Blanc. Unfortunately (or fortunately for Liberator followers) the South African domestic market is still getting to grips with this exotic-sounding variety. It was considered by the company marketeers to be too tough a sell… At Vino Gusto, we find that laughable - it bloody flies off the shelves!
