If Mulberry silk could take liquid form, this would undoubtedly be what you taste. Though the Jordan family lineage of master cobblers (after whom this wine is named) probably wouldn't let us have any more of this wine if they heard us talk about it so pretentiously. It's in pretty short supply. The juice has the most seductive nose - bold blackcurrant, rich black cherry and a whiff of herbs and spice. There is a touch of classic Cabernet cassis and a tickle of green, herbaceous character - like cut bell pepper. On the palate the wine is big, chocolatey, opulent and, well, silky. A lovely coating mouthfeel with velvety tannin and a nice acid spine adding freshness and carrying the long, long finish. A real treat.

Gary and Kathy Jordan have been making world-class wines at this top estate since 1993 on a farm with a history going back over 300 years. Together this husband and wife team is a phenomenon. Gary’s parents, Ted and Sheelagh, bought the 164 hectare Stellenbosch property in 1982, and embarked on an extensive replanting programme, specialising in classic varieties suited to the different soils and slopes.

Local delivery within 20km of our Bury St Edmunds shop is made by the Vino Gusto team. Orders placed before 1pm will be delivered within three working days. There is a minimum spend of £20 for this service.

NATIONAL DELIVERY

UK Mainland (England, Wales, Scottish Borders & Central Scotland)  
Orders must be placed before 12pm for next day delivery (Monday - Thursday). Orders placed before 12pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday. Orders placed after 12pm on Friday and before 12pm on Monday will be delivered on Tuesday.
To order wine for national delivery, we have a minimum order requirement of £20. Free next working day delivery for orders over £150.
Orders up to £149.99 - £10 (per case)

We do not deliver wine internationally. 

You will receive an automated confirmation on ordering. It is unavoidable that wines will sometimes be out of stock, so we will always contact you to advise a delivery estimate in this case. If you need the wine for a particular date, or before a particular date please make sure you specify this.
Delivery is then the following working day. So if you order before 12pm and we have the stock available, you should receive your wine the following working day, as stated above.

Deliveries are normally made weekdays before 4pm.

Unsuccessful deliveries will be attempted the next working day if nobody is available to accept the delivery, unless you specify a place to leave the shipment in this case. If a request is made for wine to be left unattended, Vino Gusto will not be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.

If a delivery has not arrived in the timeframe, please let us know. Although the courier should tell us if there are any breakages, please let us know of any damage within 24 hours of receipt, so we can investigate. Please also be sure to check the number of cases for which you are signing; we cannot replace wine that has been signed for but not received.
Please note that we, regretfully, are currently unable to ship to Northern Ireland.
