This should be every red Burgundy fan's Tuesday night go-to. Vinified in the prestigious cellars of Maison Jaffelin in the heart of Beaune, but produced from Pinot Noir fruit from the Languedoc (80%), Burgundy (10%) and the Loire (10%), making this a true 'Vin de France'. This is reminiscent of wines from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune - lively and soft with a very red fruit feel which darkens a touch on the palate to evolve into blackcurrant an black cherry. Just a touch of green Pinot bitterness too, making this feel very grown up (well beyond its humble price point) and food friendly - try it with a wild mushroom risotto.
