Agricola Marrone is based in Annunziata, beneath the hilltop village of La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe. The estate’s story stretches back to Pietro Marrone, who began challenging local farming conventions in the early twentieth century. He reduced yields to improve quality and stopped planting wheat between the vineyard rows, anticipating practices that would become commonplace generations later.

That same attention to detail continues today. The vineyards are worked sustainably without herbicides, while pruning, green harvesting and picking are all carried out by hand. Harvest dates are determined parcel by parcel, sometimes row by row, with fruit selected in the vineyard and twice more upon arrival at the cellar. Nothing is rushed or dictated by convenience.

Now led by the fourth generation, Agricola Marrone balances deep roots in La Morra with a progressive, outward-looking approach. There is a warmth and generosity to the estate, but beneath it lies a serious commitment to precision, sustainability and the extraordinary landscape they have farmed for more than a century.
