A fresh, wild and racy Xarel-Lo with notes of ripe peaches, citrus and herbs. Well balanced with a refreshing, mouthwatering acidity, a mouth filling richness, and a welcome salinity to the finish. Supercharged with flavour and full of energy, this is undoubtedly a Vino Gusto favourite. Imagine white Burgundy, if it were illegally made with Albariño on the side of a mountain. Feed me a plate full of Gildas and hook me up to an IV drip of this and I'll reach nirvana.
L’Enclòs de Peralba is the label of Leo and Roc Gramona, the sons, respectively, of Xavier and Jaume Gramona (of the renowned Catalan sparkling-wine dynasty), who are talented like their fathers. In the Gramona family winery it was difficult for them to change the style of the house, so they started their own project to make the style of wine they wanted and in search of their own freedom of expression. The winery is completely separate, in a renovated garage, and works with vineyard parcels in the Penedès region. Farming in Biodynamic, but uncertified.
