Domaine Lebrun

Domaine Lebrun sits on the hill of Saint-Andelain, at the heart of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. Established in 1861, the estate is now in the hands of sixth-generation Laurent Lebrun and comprises around 11 hectares divided between ten parcels.

Saint-Andelain is particularly prized for its flint-rich clay soils, known locally as argiles à silex. The Lebrun vineyards include parcels such as Les Chailloux, La Renardière, Le Nozet and Champ des Corbiers, each spread across the slopes surrounding the village.

Laurent’s route back to the family domaine was unusually broad. After studying in Montpellier, he gained experience in Australia before becoming general manager and head winemaker at Château Olivier, a classified estate in Bordeaux. He eventually returned to Saint-Andelain and undertook a comprehensive renovation of the domaine. That combination of deep local roots and considerable experience elsewhere has given this historic estate renewed focus, while keeping the distinctive soils of Saint-Andelain firmly at its centre.
