QUEL MARIAGE! Translated from French – what marriage, what a coupage, what a harmony! This is a dare “rule breaking” coupage of the most typical Bordeaux (Merlot) and Rhone Valley (Syrah) varieties which is recognized as one of the best expressions of South Sakar mountain’s terroir for the last decade.

Intensely juicy and rich with aromas of plums, cherries and tobacco. The palate is surpirigly elegant thanks to a few years in bottle. The fruits have become darker, with secondary flavours of leather, liquorice and cassis. Tannins are present, but have nicely mellowed and the finish is long, unctuous and seductive.

Bratanov family winery is the result of the hard work and dedication of a father and his sons who embarked on a mission to restore the family wine tradition after a break of 50 years. The winery’s own 24ha vineyards are located on the sunny hills of South Sakar near the village of Shishmanovo, Harmanli region – highly regarded as one of the best terroirs in Bulgaria, and contain the local Bulgarian varieties Rubin, Mavrud and Tamyanka and the international Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. Their winery was established in 2010 where they craft limited batches of wines with minimal intervention, controlling the whole process from the grapes to the bottle. Cherishing their family traditions, Bratanov named a few of their wines after their children – Syrah Elitsa, Chardonnay Beloslava and Rosé Maria. A great asset at their team is the young oenologist Maria Stoeva, who graduated oenology from the Institut de la vigne et du vin “Jules Guyot” in Burgundy, France and came back to Bulgaria to practise her lifelong passion to make terroir driven wines.

Local delivery within 20km of our Bury St Edmunds shop is made by the Vino Gusto team. Orders placed before 1pm will be delivered within three working days. There is a minimum spend of £20 for this service.

Please give details of a safe location for your parcel to be left if you are not going to be in.

NATIONAL DELIVERY

UK Mainland (England, Wales, Scottish Borders & Central Scotland)  
Orders must be placed before 12pm for next day delivery (Monday - Thursday). Orders placed before 12pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday. Orders placed after 12pm on Friday and before 12pm on Monday will be delivered on Tuesday.
To order wine for national delivery, we have a minimum order requirement of £20. Free next working day delivery for orders over £150.
Orders up to £149.99 - £10 (per case)

We do not deliver wine internationally. 

You will receive an automated confirmation on ordering. It is unavoidable that wines will sometimes be out of stock, so we will always contact you to advise a delivery estimate in this case. If you need the wine for a particular date, or before a particular date please make sure you specify this.
Delivery is then the following working day. So if you order before 12pm and we have the stock available, you should receive your wine the following working day, as stated above.

Deliveries are normally made weekdays before 4pm.

Unsuccessful deliveries will be attempted the next working day if nobody is available to accept the delivery, unless you specify a place to leave the shipment in this case. If a request is made for wine to be left unattended, Vino Gusto will not be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.

If a delivery has not arrived in the timeframe, please let us know. Although the courier should tell us if there are any breakages, please let us know of any damage within 24 hours of receipt, so we can investigate. Please also be sure to check the number of cases for which you are signing; we cannot replace wine that has been signed for but not received.
Please note that we, regretfully, are currently unable to ship to Northern Ireland.
