From one of the G.O.A.T producers from the region, this is classic Alsace Riesling. In a recent tasting, it shone above many comparable Riesling's that almost doubled the price of this. Bright and expressive with lots of fresh citrus and floral aromas. Rich and complex on the palate with lovely fleshy stone fruit, a touch of spice and a subtle saltiness. Great acidity balances the light sweetness perfectly. This is a real gem.
While the winemaking history of the Rolly and Gassmann families in Alsace can be traced back to the 17th century, Domaine Rolly Gassmann was not established until 1967 when the two families were joined by marriage.
