Amongst quite a number of Fleurie's tasted recently, this stood out as an obvious favourite. So pure and precise with lovely red fruit and delicate floral tones - but a surprisingly dense structure. The Les Moriers vineyard straddles the crus of Fleurie, renowned for it's prettiness, and Moulin-à-Vent, know for it's depth and ruggedness. This is truly versatile and should be taken as seriously as the red's of a Pinot persuasion, north of the Beaujolais region.
