When the sun shines, this wine just flies off the shelf at Vino HQ. This rosé is bone dry, delicate and fresh - loaded with crushed cranberries, cherry and peach flavours. Ever so slightly effervescent with plenty of acidity giving a tingling, mouth watering sensation. Why pay more for Provence when their neighbours are knocking out wines like this!

The grapes are grown in the rugged landscape of the foothills of the Pyrenees in south west France. The vineyards have mineral rich schist soils and long established vines. The wine is 50% Grenache Noir, 30% Syrah, 20% Grenache Gris.

Winemaker and owner of Res Fortes, Moritz Bak, found his love of wine at a young age, visiting his Grandfather (a keen wine consumer, we are told) in the south of France. Having then travelled extensively and worked as a winemaker at some pretty famous addresses, Moritz settled on Roussillon to begin his own winemaking venture in 2014 making modern, elegant wines from the toughest terrain.

We genuinely love all of Bak's wines, but have a soft spot for this rosé... There aren't many things we'd chose to drink over this on a glorious Summer's day. And no need to take our word for it - Wine Enthusiast list it as a 'best buy'.
