Orange Wine Mixed Case
Orange wine is capturing the world’s attention, and it’s no wonder—it’s only getting more exciting.
While Georgia is often hailed as the birthplace of this unique style, orange wines from other regions are making a big splash too. From the textured, nutty expressions of Friuli in Italy to the vibrant, citrusy bottles coming out of Australia, and even the experimental gems from the USA, there’s no shortage of variety to explore.
We’ve rounded up some of our favourites from around the globe so you can embark on a delicious journey through the world’s finest amber-hued creations.
Case includes a bottle of each of the following:
Dominio de Punctum 'Pomelado' Orange Wine, Spain 2023
This is the perfect entry point for anybody looking to get into orange wine. With just 14 days skin contact, this is a lighter, fresher style of orange wine that still shows the delicate almond and orange pith of the style really well. This is Sauvignon Blanc with a twist - lovely savoury notes of bruised apple along with nuts and dried orange fruit.
Sibiliana Viti 'Sensale Orange Bianco' Sicily, Italy 2023
Made from native grape Catarratto, this wine is soft and slightly honied, with whiffs of dried apricot and raisins. Round and unctuous palate, offset by a clean, zippy acidity that lingers forever.
Cramele Recas 'Solara Orange' , Romania 2023
Dark straw in colour with orange hints, the nose is a delicate mélange of quince, poire william and a hint of vanilla. A complex and structured wine, with elegant but discreet fruit flavours of stone fruits, backed up with a powerful tannin structure and long finish. A natural minimal intervention wine which is well balanced and structured yet pure and incredibly fresh.
Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa 'The Orange Point, Greece 2022
Oh yes. Another glass please. A soft, delicate orange wine. Assyrtiko imparts its hallmark freshness from young vines, complemented by the orchard fruit of the old vine Roditis. From northern Greece where summer is not too warm and winter is not too cold, the perfect setting for a delicate wine, loaded with mineral freshness.
Bedoba Orange, Georgia 2021
Bedboba Orange is made from 70% Rkatsiteli and 30% Kisi, which are Georgian grape varieties with unique characteristics. Mesmerising. Juicy and soft, with flavours of dried apricot, honey, orange peel, and wild herbs. This is the perfect introduction to orange wine for even the strongest nay-sayers. Great with hard cheeses drizzled in honey.
Domaine de Coursac Vin Orange, France 2022
It begins soft and rounded, with lush stone fruit flavours (think vineyard peaches at their peak) before a fine grip of tannins adds structure and finesse. A touch of almond bitterness plays on the finish, balancing the wine's juicy core and leaving you eager for the next sip.
