Dugladze Winery 'Kakhuri' Qvevri Orange Wine 2020

A beautiful introduction to the intense styles of orange wine that people associate with Georgia. The nose is inviting with stone fruits, peach and white flowers. The palate has much of the same with soft tannins. Super moreish and begging to be enjoyed with aromatic rice dishes, or roasted aubergine.

Dugladze winery was founded in 2004 and prides itself on combining Georgian traditions, novelties and loyalty to the family business. Its success is to a great extent due to Dimitry Dugladze – a gifted businessman and professional he played an important role in the development of Georgian winemaking. For all his life he aimed to produce high-quality wines and spirits for connoisseurs in Georgia and abroad. Nowadays his sons successfully continue his ethics. Dugladze winery has vineyards across three wine regions: Kakheti overlooking the Alazani river in the Caucasus foothills and Imereti and Kartli nearer to Black Sea. The ancient qvevri method is still in wide use here, combined with modern wine making facilities and know how.
