Everyday Killers VS Luxury Thrillers // Friday 16th May 2025 // VG Tasting Room
- Available
- Backordered, shipping soon
Join us for a slightly different wine tasting event, whereby you'll be tasting blind. Tonight we are answering FAQs like "Are expensive wines better?" and "Can you really taste the difference between £10 and £50 wines?"
In one corner, from our sub £10 shelf 'Everyday Killers' you'll find bottles that we deem killer value for money, and totally delicious to fit the need of a 'weekday' wine. In the other corner, the same grape, same region but a different producer, perhaps following different wine making laws - all of which increases the cost of the juice. Either way, you won't know which is which.
Hosted by our General Manager, Evelyn, who will show you how to judge the quality of a wine and work out whether you really do get what you pay for when you buy a wine. Will you be able to spot which is which, and more importantly, which wines do you prefer?

- Please arrive at 18:50 for a 19:00 start. The tastings usually last for around two hours.
- No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor bathroom and tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
