Join us for an evening as we celebrate English Wine Week with our friends at Flint Vineyard. We’re thrilled to have Dan Kirby from Flint pouring and chatting through their killer line up from the Waveney Valley.
Founder Ben Witchell ditched a career in IT to chase grapes, studied winemaking, honed his craft in Beaujolais, and came back to Norfolk to do something seriously special. Flint Vineyard, established in 2015, was born on stony soils and has quickly become a leader in English still wine, blending innovation with a touch of East Anglian magic.
Since then Flint Vineyard has flourished. There are now over 26,000 vines covering 6 hectares and a state-of-the-art winery allows wine production at the highest level. Flint has gained a solid reputation for producing some of the best premium English still wines. It has also innovated with methods in the winery and products such as the Charmat Rosé, the first sparkling wine to be made using the Charmat method, most commonly used in Prosecco.
Please note, this is not a formal, sit down tasting. It will be a fun, casual tasting on our shop floor in walk-around style with decent pours! There are a few stools to perch on, of course and we'll have some nibbles in the way of charcuterie boards to keep your palate nice and awake!

- Please arrive at 18:50 for a 19:00 start. The tastings usually last for around two hours.
- No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor bathroom and tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
