Earlier this summer, I (Jake) spent a week touring all of the important wine growing regions of Germany and meeting some of our producers, alongside the UK's most respected German wine import business, Awin Barratt Siegel. My tour guide for the week was Andrea Bulcock, German buyer for ABS and arguably the UK's foremost expert on the wines of Germany, having lived and worked in the Mosel Valley. The tour was dubbed the "Master of Riesling" trip, but we put a fair effort into tasting and understanding Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) too. Somebody has to do the hard work...
So, we have hatched a plan to bring back eight wines that showcase the best of what we tasted on the road. We'll cover Germany's diverse geography, demonstrate the most famous wine styles, and introduce you to some of the countries most fabled, very top producers.
Prost!

- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor WC and tasting room is not forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
