When people think of English wine, their minds often jump straight to sparkling wine. But just a short drive from Bury St Edmunds, Burnt House Vineyard is quietly proving there's far more to our local wine scene than bubbles.
Join us as we welcome Cat and James of Burnt House Vineyard for an evening exploring one of Suffolk's most exciting wineries. Nestled in the beautiful countryside near Stowmarket, Burnt House combines modern winemaking with a deep respect for the local landscape, producing wines that are fresh, characterful and unmistakably East Anglian.
We'll taste our way through a selection of their wines while hearing the story behind the vineyard, the challenges and rewards of growing grapes in England, and why Suffolk is becoming one of the country's most exciting wine regions.
Whether you're already a fan of English wine or still need convincing, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet the people behind the bottles and discover what makes Burnt House such a special local success story.
As always, cheese, charcuterie and plenty of wine chat included.
