A Taste of Spain // Friday 14th March 2025 // VG Tasting Room

It's been true for some time that Spain is the most exciting country to buy wine from. We're not talking about dusty old Rioja though, we're talking about the fresh, balanced, modern wines of Spain. Often from producers in lesser-known regions, who work with indigenous grapes. More often than not these wines come from growers who are focusing predominantly on their vineyards, soil health and fruit quality, to produce low-intervention wines with energy and verve.
Evelyn of Team VG will take us on a journey inspired by her recent trip to Spain, where she explored the lesser-known region Sierra de Gredos. Located in central Spain, it's renowned for its high-altitude vineyards producing vibrant and expressive wines that reflect the unique terroir. With her stories of the rustic wines and lush, rolling vineyards of the mountainous area, you’ll feel transported to the heart of Spanish winemaking.
And, with a bit of luck, Ev might bring back a bottle or two for us to taste together!

- No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.

- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor bathroom and tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
