Wines of Georgia // Wednesday 16th April 2025 // VG Tasting Room
- Available
- Backordered, shipping soon
Georgia has long been recognised as the birthplace of wine-making, with a history that dates back over 6,000 years. Rich in tradition, their wine-making practices have been passed down through the ages and remain largely unchanged to this day.
Join us for an unforgettable wine-tasting experience as we take you through an evening filled with history and culture. You’ll sample both European-style wines (fermented and matured in stainless steel or oak) and the renowned traditional wines made in qvevri (large clay pots) some of which undergo extended skin macerations.
This is not for the faint-hearted - get ready to taste some of the most unique, funky, and natty wines you’ll ever encounter!

- Please arrive at 18:50 for a 19:00 start. The tastings usually last for around two hours.
- No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor bathroom and tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
