This is fine, sexy, elegant Chablis. Crisp and dry with red apples, pear, citrus and smoky notes that follow through onto a rich, soft, mineral driven palate. The wine deserves luxurious shellfish (scallops, cray-fish etc) in a rich, buttered sauce. Equally delicious with roasted white meat, or monkfish.
Domaine Alexandre is a family business handed down over three generations. Brothers Guy and Olivier preside over the estate today, which comprises 13 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Chablis. The vineyards are worked with great care and yields are kept low to produce expressive wines with concentrated fruit.
