Rich unctuous and persistent, with a cool, balancing minerality. Sweet, dark fruits give way to some spice making a powerful, yet elegant wine. A little toasty from some time in oak with some grippy tannins; this is a great food wine. Perfect with simply grilled red meats and an ensemble of roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
