AOC Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion is around 3km north of Saint-Émilion. 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very classic right bank Bordeaux in style, in that, it's eminently drinkable and completely smashable with beef for Sunday lunch. 

Fermented in concrete and stainless-steel tanks and then a third of the wine is aged in 25% new French oak for a year, giving the wine structure and complexity without being overpowering. Intensely aromatic with aromas of ripe raspberry and blackcurrant, coupled with spicy notes of cinnamon and black pepper. The palate is full-bodied with concentrated flavours of cassis, raspberry and tobacco and a lifted acidity. Silky tannins linger on the long, persistent finish. Very tasty.
