Fine Wine Cellar Raid // Wednesday 18th June 2025 // VG Cellar
- Available
- Backordered, shipping soon
For one night only, we’re heading underground for a 'Fine Wine Raid'. This is exactly what it sounds like - a slightly mischievous, wholly delicious plundering of bottles that have been laying down for years. The tasting room is lovely, of course, but some wines just feel more at home surrounded by the cool hush and quiet reverence of a proper cellar. So we’re rolling up our sleeves, lighting the candles (figuratively, don’t worry about your eyebrows), and popping corks on some of the finest wines from the VG vault.
Hosted General Manager, Evelyn, expect older vintages, special releases, and a few “how on earth do we still have this?” surprises. These are the wines we talk about when no one’s looking. The ones we’ve been waiting to share with the right crowd. (That’s you, by the way!)
Whether you're a seasoned sipper or just curious about what happens when wine gets a little older and wiser, this is a rare chance to taste something special in a setting that feels just as extraordinary.

- Please arrive at 18:50 for a 19:00 start. The tastings usually last for around two hours.
- No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor bathroom and tasting room isn't overly forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. So sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
