Wine tastings are usually reserved for humans. This one still is... but your dog is very much invited too.
Following plenty of excitement from local dog lovers (and a great excuse for me!), we're super excited to be launching this first ever wine tasting event. And where better to host it than just a ball throw from Bury St Ed town centre?
Join Evelyn, of team VG, in the beautiful garden at The Crown, Hartest for a relaxed summer evening of good wine, great company and plenty of wagging tails. We'll taste our way through four wines, exploring a range of styles from crisp refreshing whites, to easy reds, all in the company of fellow dog lovers.
Whether your doggo is a social butterfly or simply enjoys a sunny spot to snooze in while you enjoy some wine, Pours & Paws is all about bringing together two of life's greatest pleasures: wine and dogs.
While no food is included within the ticket price, The Crown will be offering pre-ordered sharing boards to enjoy alongside the wines. Please contact Demi at The Crown directly to reserve your boards or to book a table before/after the event.

Terms & Conditions
• Each ticket admits one person and one dog. A maximum of one dog is permitted per ticket holder.
• This is an outdoor event. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
• All dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the event.
• Owners are responsible for the behaviour, welfare and supervision of their dogs at all times.
• Please ensure your dog is comfortable, friendly and well socialised around other dogs and people before attending.
• Any dog displaying aggressive, disruptive or unsafe behaviour may be asked to leave at the discretion of The Crown or Vino Gusto.
• Fresh water will be available for dogs throughout the event.
• Please bring your own dog bowl and any treats your dog may require.
• The Crown and Vino Gusto accept no liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage or incident involving dogs, owners or third parties attending the event.
- Tickets cancelled up to 72 hours before the event are refundable to Vino Gusto store credit only. The credit sits on your customer account to be used against a future event or any products at Vino Gusto. Store credit can be used in store or online.
- Tickets cancelled within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable.
- Please arrive at 18:50 for a 19:00 start. The tastings usually last for around two hours.
- No physical ticket required, just bring a copy of your order confirmation (on a phone is fine).
- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor WC and tasting room is not forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
