Everything that Gary & Kathy Jordan (of Jordan Wines, Stellenbosch) touch, turns to gold. This is no deviation from the norm. Soft and crunchy with bright strawberry and pomegranate fruits and fragrant, light earl grey tea. Very moreish, a little savoury and very posh. Brilliant with game.
A tipping point is a number of small changes occurring over a period of time which then reaches a level where one further small change has a sudden and very great effect on a system. As a result of fast-changing climatic conditions, we are now able to produce cool-climate Pinot Noir in England. Ripe hedgerow fruit aromas with an underlying balanced acidity and a dry tannin finish. Barrel maturation adds toasty oak flavours to the brambly, Christmas pudding fruit.
Tidebrook is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex between the medieval villages of Mayfield and Wadhurst. The brook for which Tidebrook is named, rises in the valley and flows through Mousehall Country Estate, forming one of the sources of the River Rother, meeting the sea at Rye. In bygone years, the iron industry and later the hop industry were significant in this area, the latter giving rise to the distinctive Oast found on Mousehall, featuring as the logo of the Tidebrook wines.
