Withington Wines 'Roan Ranger' 2019

Of course the name here is a nod towards the classic wines of the Rhône Valley - a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Very perfumed and wild with notes of rose, pomegranate and dried herbs as well as red fruit. The palate is light, pure and poised with ultra-fine tannins. Highly gluggable and juicy. The ultimate braai wine.

In French terms, Charles Withington would be known as a négociant, sourcing outstanding parcels of grapes from the best growers across Darling (adjacent to the Swartland). Charles has been very fortunate in his last thirty or so years in the wine industry to work with some very good properties and very knowledgeable people.
