Why You'll Love It
Soft, juicy and silky. This Greek red is the perfect mid week supper swig. Loaded with big red ripe fruit flavours, a touch of lavendar and a well judged hint of sweet, spicy oak. The palate is velvety and fruity with herbal tones and a lovely buttery texture. There is nothing complicated about this wine - the deliciousness is in its simplicity - high on the drinkability scale.
About The Producer
Cavino is a family owned winery, founded in 1958 and located on the slopes of Aigialia in Peloponnese, amid charming vineyards with local grape varieties. The location is a combination of mountains and the sea, creating a unique climate that gives local grapes their exceptional quality.
Winemaking Information
The grapes are sourced from the hills of the Peloponnese, where warm Mediterranean days and cool mountain nights help preserve freshness alongside ripe fruit. After harvest, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with around ten days on their skins to gently extract colour, flavour and soft tannins. No heavy oak influence is used, allowing Agiorgitiko's vibrant fruit and naturally velvety texture to shine.
