About The Producer
Franco Mondo is a family estate in San Marzano Oliveto, among the rolling hills of Piedmont's Monferrato. Founded by Ernesto Mondo in 1945, it has passed through the generations to Franco and his son Valerio. Around eleven hectares of estate vineyards supply a range led by Barbera, alongside other local and international varieties. From bright everyday reds to serious single-vineyard Barbera, the family combines careful vineyard work with a clear understanding of its home territory.
Winemaking Information
Sauvignon Blanc grown in the hills around San Marzano Oliveto in Piedmont. The estate's Sauvignon fruit comes from a cooler, north-east-facing vineyard. After pressing, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its aromatic fruit and fresh acidity. Specific 2024 lees-ageing and bottling details have not been confirmed.
