Why You'll Love It
This wine is the vinous equivalent of a crisp, cold pint in a beer garden after a gruelling hike on a hot, sunny day. Majorly refreshing, crisp and spritzy with flavours of green apple, lime zest and a touch of tropical passion fruit. A weapon on a summers day and should be handled with care. With a bit of texture and softness on the palate, this also works a treat with seafood, salads, or anything vaguely Mediterranean.
About The Producer
Quinta das Arcas is a modern, family-run producer in the heart of Vinho Verde. They focused on doing the region’s core style really well: fresh, light, and dangerously drinkable wines. Founded in 1985, they’ve grown into a sizeable estate, working with native grapes like Loureiro, Arinto and Trajadura (all three varieties in this wine) across Atlantic ocean influenced vineyards.
Winemaking Information
The grapes are grown in Portugal's cool, Atlantic-influenced Vinho Verde region, where maritime breezes help preserve vibrant acidity and delicate aromatics. Each variety is vinified separately before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled young to capture its bright fruit, lively freshness and the gentle natural spritz that makes Vinho Verde so refreshing. The result is a light, crisp white that's bursting with youthful energy.
