About The Producer
Agricola Marrone is a fourth-generation family estate in Annunziata, below La Morra in the Langhe. Pietro Marrone began questioning local vineyard conventions in 1910, reducing yields to favour better grapes. That attention to quality remains central to the estate, with hands-on pruning, crop management and selective harvesting. Today Gian Piero and Giovanna work alongside their daughters: Valentina makes the wines, Serena runs the business and Denise leads hospitality. The family combines the structure and tradition of Piedmont with a warm, precise, place-focused approach.
Winemaking Information
Nebbiolo and Barbera from south-east-facing calcareous vineyards at 350–400m. Hand-harvested in passes, cooled before pressing, with approximately 16–18 hours' cold skin contact. Stainless-steel fermentation at 15–17°C and fine-lees ageing. A 2025 UK merchant listing reports 14.5% ABV; confirm against the bottle.
