Why You'll Love It
This is one of Sicily's benchmark natural white wines, made by the natty Pied Piper, Arianna Occhipinti.

Beautifully aromatic with remarkable freshness and drinkability, thanks to some altitude. Zibibbo brings lifted notes of orange blossom, citrus peel and Mediterranean vibes, while the rare indigenous Albanello adds a gentle texture, subtle stone fruit, thyme and fennel, and a saline edge. Despite its uber expressive nose, the palate remains dry, energetic and balanced.

A marvel to behold as an aperitif with a group of equally natural wine literate as you, dear reader. Or a spectacular partner to most seafood, but octopus and swordfish would be particularly special.

SP68 is a brilliant introduction to Arianna Occhipinti's philosophy of producing wines that speak so clearly of where they come from.
About The Producer
Arianna Occhipinti is one of Italy's most influential winemakers and a leading figure in Sicily's natural wine movement. Based in Vittoria in the island's southeast, she began making wine in her early twenties with a determination to showcase Sicily's native grape varieties through thoughtful farming rather than heavy-handed winemaking.

Today her vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, with biodiversity and healthy soils at the heart of everything she does. Her wines have earned an international following for their purity, elegance and unmistakable sense of place, proving that Sicily can produce wines of freshness and finesse as well as power.
Winemaking Information
The name SP68 refers to the provincial road that runs past Arianna's estate in Vittoria. The organically grown Zibibbo and Albanello are harvested by hand from limestone-rich, red sandy soils before being destemmed and fermented together using indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. The wine is aged for around six months in concrete, bottled with minimal intervention and without filtration, preserving both its vibrant aromatics and naturally textural character. This gentle approach allows the vineyard and native grape varieties to take centre stage.
