About The Producer
Avignonesi is one of Tuscany's great wine estates and a defining name in Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Its 177 hectares of vineyards, spread between Montepulciano and Cortona within a wider estate of more than 300 hectares, are farmed organically and biodynamically. Virginie Saverys began a remarkable transformation in 2009, championing living soils, biodiversity and wines that express individual places rather than a formula. Her children Basile and Eline Aloy took over leadership in 2024, carrying this ambition forward. From benchmark Sangiovese to pioneering wines made in clay, Avignonesi is helping to show just how exceptional modern Tuscan wine can be.
