About The Producer
Bodegas Luis Cañas has been a fixture of Rioja Alavesa since 1928, drawing on generations of family vineyard knowledge. Its high-altitude plots beneath the Sierra de Cantabria produce small, concentrated berries, while painstaking vineyard selection helps the team preserve freshness and express the individuality of each site.
Winemaking Information
A blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano, from vines averaging around forty years old. Following rigorous fruit selection, the grapes ferment and macerate in stainless steel before eighteen months in French and American oak barrels. The wine is then clarified and bottled without filtration.
