About The Producer
Domaine Billard Père et Fils has been a family domain for four generations, based in La Rochepot in Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Since 1999, Jérôme Billard has been at the helm, and he is training his son Louis Billard in the family's know-how, after the latter has worked for two years at vineyards in South Africa and Australia, as well as at Domaine de la Romanée Conti.
Winemaking Information
100% Chardonnay from La Justice, a sunny, well-drained three-hectare chalky hillside near Saint-Aubin in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Hand-harvested fruit is carefully pressed and fermented with the estate's indigenous yeasts. Published descriptions differ on ageing vessels, so no precise barrel or tank regime is assumed for 2024. ABV 13%.
