About The Producer
Domaine Delhome is a family estate at the northern end of Crozes-Hermitage. Gérald Delhome developed the vineyards before his son Romain joined in 2018, bringing experience from the Rhône and further afield. They built their own cellar in 2019, allowing the family to bottle wines under its own name, with particular attention to the character of their varied soils.
Winemaking Information
LoEss is 100% Marsanne from mature vines rooted in sandy loess soils around Erôme and Gervans. Hand-picked grapes are whole-bunch pressed and given a short, cool pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation starts in stainless steel and finishes in older oak barrels, with lees stirring and around nine to ten months' ageing. The 2023 wine is certified organic.
