Why You'll Love It
Juicy and inviting, with Malbec’s ripe strawberry and plum framed by thyme, wild herbs and a hint of spice. The high-altitude vineyards of Los Chacayes bring freshness to the fruit, while a short spell in French oak rounds out the edges. A proper red for steak, roast lamb or a midweek supper.
About The Producer
La Coste de Los Andes is the Argentine wine project associated with Château La Coste. Its Andillian wines come from Los Chacayes, in the Uco Valley of Mendoza, where vines grow at around 1,300 metres above sea level. The organically farmed vineyards benefit from intense Andean sunlight, cool nights and varied stony soils. The range aims to capture the region's ripe fruit and characteristic herbal freshness.
Winemaking Information
Malbec from organically farmed vineyards in I.G. Los Chacayes, Tunuyán, Uco Valley, at approximately 1,300 metres altitude. Grapes are selected by hand; producer information describes a short pre-fermentation carbonic maceration, fermentation in stainless-steel and concrete vessels, and further maceration on skins. Matured for approximately six months in French oak barrels. The producer recommends serving at 14–16°C. Specific vinification details are based on the estate's current Malbec information, not an independently verified 2025-only technical sheet.
