About The Producer
La Coste de Los Andes is the Argentine wine project associated with Château La Coste. Based in Los Chacayes, in Mendoza's high-altitude Uco Valley, the winery works with organically farmed vineyards around 1,300 metres above sea level. The Andillian range focuses on expressing the fruit, natural freshness and mineral character of this Andean terroir.
Winemaking Information
Producer technical information identifies Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from I.G. Los Chacayes, Tunuyán, Uco Valley, around 1,300 metres altitude. Grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes, with each variety fermented separately before blending during maturation in stainless-steel tanks and concrete eggs. The blend is aged for approximately nine months in 500-litre French oak barrels. Organic production certified by LETIS. The producer recommends serving at 14–16°C; maturation and composition are from its current technical sheet rather than a sheet explicitly labelled 2022.
