Why You'll Love It
Made exactly like Champagne but from one of Piedmont's great native grapes, this is wonderfully original without trying too hard to be different. Fine bubbles carry flavours of ripe pear, white flowers and toasted brioche, while a distinctive hazelnut note reminds you you're in northern Italy. Being Pas Dosé (i.e. no added sugar), it's beautifully crisp, with a gently saline finish.

A brilliant aperitif, but it really comes alive with oysters, sushi, seafood pasta or a creamy mushroom risotto.
About The Producer
Tenuta Laramè is the premium estate of the Povero family, whose winemaking roots in Piedmont stretch back almost 200 years. Based in the heart of the Roero, the family has become renowned for championing the region's indigenous grape varieties, particularly Arneis and Nebbiolo. While Arneis is most commonly produced as a still white, Tenuta Laramè has taken a more ambitious route, producing a traditional method sparkling wine that showcases the grape in an entirely different light. It's an estate built on combining Piedmontese tradition with a willingness to innovate, and the results speak for themselves.
Winemaking Information
This is a rare example of Metodo Classico sparkling Arneis, made from estate-grown fruit in the Roero hills of Piedmont. Following an initial fermentation in stainless steel, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in bottle before spending an impressive 36 months ageing on its lees. After disgorgement, no dosage is added, resulting in a beautifully dry, precise sparkling wine where the character of the Arneis grape and the vineyard can shine through.
