About The Producer
Founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar, Château Musar is one of the great names of Lebanese wine and a standard-bearer for the country's ancient viticultural heritage. From its base in Ghazir, the Hochar family has built a worldwide reputation for individual, long-lived wines made with conviction, even through Lebanon's most difficult periods.
Winemaking Information
The 2018 white is a blend of 60% Obaideh and 40% Merwah, sourced from old, high-altitude vines. Both varieties were pressed and fermented in new French oak barrels for nine months. The wines were blended in spring 2019, cold-stabilised and bottled that summer before extended maturation ahead of release.
