They make only vintage brut nature sparkling wines with a distinctive character marked by long ageing - in the case of this wine, a minimum of 4 years.

Pure and classy, with aromas of brioche, white flowers, smoke and dried fruit. The palate is crisp, fresh and mineral with delicate notes of star anise, white peach and a touch of smoke. The bubbles are impossibly small - only possible with long aging - and the finish is long and zesty. About The Producer
Founded in 1924 by Josep Mata Capellades in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Recaredo has become one of the defining names in fine Spanish sparkling wine. The family farms its own vineyards in the heart of Penedès, entirely organically and according to biodynamic principles, with Xarel·lo central to its distinctive style. One of the founding members of Corpinnat, Recaredo helped establish a demanding alternative to the broad Cava category, emphasising estate-grown fruit, hand harvesting, traditional Mediterranean varieties and extended bottle ageing. Every sparkling wine is vintage-dated and Brut Nature, with no sugar added at disgorgement. Bottles age under natural cork; riddling and disgorgement are carried out by hand, without freezing the neck. The result is sparkling wine of remarkable depth, dry precision and genuine vineyard character. Terrers, its wonderfully expressive entry point, shows why this family's uncompromising approach is so highly regarded.
Winemaking Information
Recaredo Terrers 2020 comprises 91% Xarel·lo, 5% Macabeu, 3% Parellada and 1% Monastrell from the family's organically certified, biodynamically farmed Corpinnat vineyards. The 2020 growing season was unusually wet, bringing severe mildew pressure and very low yields. Following traditional-method second fermentation using the estate's organic must, the wine aged for at least 52 months under natural cork. Every bottle is riddled and disgorged manually without freezing; no sugar is added at disgorgement. The official 2020 sheet confirms 11.5% ABV.
