About The Producer
Jean-Charles Fagot is a third-generation winegrower based in Corpeau in the Côte de Beaune, with around three hectares of family vineyards and access to carefully selected neighbouring fruit. Alongside his domaine he runs the Auberge du Vieux Vigneron, and is a musician as well as a winemaker. His approach favours well-balanced Burgundy with ripe fruit, freshness and sensitive barrel work, including small parcels in Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and other Côte de Beaune appellations.
Winemaking Information
Made from Chardonnay sourced in Saint-Aubin Premier Cru, Côte de Beaune. Jean-Charles Fagot favours relatively early picking to retain freshness, followed by fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels. The precise vineyard parcel, proportion of new oak and ageing period for this 2023 bottling have not been independently verified.
