About The Producer
Château Les Hauts de Gadet is a family-run estate situated in the northern Haut-Médoc, close to Saint-Estèphe. The 24-hectare vineyard benefits from an elevated position overlooking the Gironde Estuary, with gravel, clay and limestone soils ideally suited to classic Left Bank varieties. Rather than chasing blockbuster Bordeaux, the estate focuses on producing elegant, food-friendly wines that reflect the character of the Haut-Médoc. Cuvée Moulin is a wonderful example of this philosophy, offering all the hallmarks of traditional claret at a price that makes opening a bottle feel like an easy decision rather than a special occasion.
Winemaking Information
The fruit comes from 24 hectares of mature vineyards overlooking the Gironde Estuary in the Haut-Médoc. Following a traditional Bordeaux vinification with careful extraction, the wine is matured for 12 months in 225-litre French oak barrels. The combination of gravel, clay and limestone soils produces fruit with excellent concentration while preserving freshness and balance, resulting in a wine that's approachable in its youth but capable of ageing gracefully.
