About The Producer
Château Lamothe-Bouscaut is part of the Bouscaut estate in Pessac-Léognan, south of Bordeaux. The vineyards near the Garonne grow on clay, limestone and gravel soils, and are managed with ground cover and minimal spraying. Its white wine combines Sauvignon Blanc's citrus freshness with Sémillon's generosity and texture.
Winemaking Information
Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from sustainably managed Pessac-Léognan vineyards, hand-harvested after a challenging 2021 season of frost and variable weather. The 2021 blend is described as a blend of approximately 68% Sauvignon Blanc and 32% Sémillon. Juice was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel for around three weeks, then aged on lees in oak barrels of different ages for approximately ten months. Technical specifications list 13.5% ABV, acidity 6.5g/L, residual sugar 0.7g/L and pH 3.15.
