Domaine Fournillon et Fils Bourgogne Blanc 2023

Unbelievable value here. Fine, elegant Bourgogne Blanc from a small producer, just outside of Chablis. Steely and lemony and mineral with hints of flint and cream. Very classy and easy to enjoy as a posh aperitif, but try it with a seafood pasta dish - you won't be let down! Satisfying on many of levels.

Domaine Fournillon et Fils is a long-established family estate based in the small village of Bernouil, just north of Chablis. The Fournillon family, headed by Pascal, has been growing Chardonnay here for generations with a straightforward approach that puts freshness and drinkability front and centre. These days, Pascal is making more wines under his own name than selling the fruit on as has been the case in the past. The wines are made simply with minimal intervention and very little oak, allowing the natural character of the region to shine through.
